Good hat, but why have a rack and not put the bag on it? Oh and get cycleclip(s)!

Not every one wants to lug panniers all day, there are times when a simple courier bag is more practical. Does any one still use cycle clips?? The important thing is that he is out there using active travel to get about.

Indeed, couldn't agree more.
I'd just bungee the bag to the rack, (it's why there is always a bungee round my racks and why the continental ones often have a spring clip) then sling it on my back when off the bike, but whatever works.
I still use a cycle clip when I bike in "normal" trousers. I think the design has yet to be bettered, I was given some stretchy hi-viz velcro type but they're just not nearly as good imho.
